CAS – Create A Sim – That’s the environment that you use to change the appearance of your Sim. What you can do here varies depending of when and how you enter this mode. At the very beginning of your game or if you create a new household you can change everything. If you come back here later, you won’t be able to change the voice, walk, familiy connections or apsiration of your Sim.

CAW – Create a World is a mod by TwistedMexi which allows you to change the entire world of the Sims.

CC – Custom Content – Things like furniture, clutter items, and even clothes that are created by Fans and can only be downloaded and used if you are on a PC. Console players don’t have access to CC. NoCC refers to builds and Sims that are created without using Custom Content.

Cheats – Additional commands that are not initially intended for gameplay, however, they’re in the game to enhance your options and to help to fix glitches. E.g. if your Sim gets stuck and doesn’t move anymore you can open the cheat panel (Ctrl+Shift+C), type “testingcheats on” (without quotation marks) and then shift-click your Sim to reset him.

Gallery – the place where you can upload your own creations (lots, rooms, housholds) and download the creations of others. PC players as well as console players have access to the gallery if they do have a working internet connection.

Maxis Match – This term identifies CC that is created to seamlessly fit into the game and look as if it was made by EA/Maxis as part of the original game.

Mods – Scripts that enhance gameplay and can only be used by PC gamers. Console players don’t have access to Mods.

MCCC – MC Command Center – Master Controll Command Center is a mod by Deaderpool that allows you to get a vast new pool of control over your game. E.g. changing all your Sims attributes in CAS even after playing with them, cheating up needs, upping the possible baby count, changing weather, daytime and so much more. It’s a beast, you’ll have to use it with care.

T.O.O.L – It’s a mod by TwistedMexi that allows you to manipulate game objects in more precise ways. E.g. elevating for a precise amount of 0.01 units. It gives you additional options like rotation around every axis (if available) or sizing in smaller increments. It was originally build to Take Objects Off the Lot and place them anywhere you want (which it can still do).
