Super Challenge

💡 This Post is under construction (turns out, there are a TON of open questions. So keep coming back to check for updates 😉 ). – Status: 9/12/2021

You want to know what’s going on here? Check out my first post about this: Sims4 – and so it begins …

The gist of my Super Challenge:

  • Start as a toddler and build a happy family (from rags to riches) with 10 happy children in each of 10 generations.
  • No cheats or mods (besides stuff that doesn’t influence gameplay – like move objects in build mode).

The Rules

I’m not going to list every single rule and stuff that’s obvious. I’ll always rather follow the spirit of a rule than the rule itself, e.g. one rule says “No Cheats” but I will gladly use a cheat to get my money down to zero (or cheat to my disadvantage, e.g. to kill the parents of my maternal Sim) or to fix a bug etc.

Phase 1 – Growing up

I’m not quite sure how this part will actually work, because I don’t know how independent a toddler can be. We’ll figure this part out as we go.

  • Toddler:
  • Your Sim is a toddler, living in a household with only one other lazy Sim who dislikes children.
  • Optional: Create a background story for that: Why is she living here?
  • Try to max out all of her skills before she grows up.
  • Don’t  use the help of the Sim in your household.
  • Since the death of your parents is most likely the beginning of this challenge, the “welcoming party” is going to be a wake – try to find someone who can help you.
  • Child:
  • Gather as many skills as you can in school.
  • Prepare to run away.
  • You can buy one skillbuilding item for every skill. After that the household money is off limits.
  • The Sim in your household can go to work, however, they won’t buy anything for you, except food.
  • Optional: Create a side hustle for your kid. Do gardening for a neighbour, watch their pets, clean their floors (I have to check which of this actions a kid can actually do). I know you’re not actually getting payed. Just keep track of how much money a real kid would have gotten. Only this money is yours. You can buy more skill building stuff and take it with you when you run away.

Phase 2 – Running away

  • Run away.
  • Earn enough money for a tent/to live.
  • You can NOT build a house or own a lot before you become a young adult!
  • You can “buy” a lot and cheat down your money afterwards (because your Sim needs to have one to play). However, you’ll have to purchase the lot (cheat down your money accordingly) before you build anything resembling a house – tents are fine if you have the money. Think: If this was reality and this wasn’t my land, could I put “this/a shower/a couch/etc.” here?)
  • Optional: find the person you want to share your life with before you turn into a young adult (you’ll probably need this head start to live long enough to get to 10 children for generation number one)

Phase 3 – Legacy + 100 Babies

  • Start with a maternal Sim that has no family ties to help her out and a normal life span.
  • Find her the love of her life.
  • Find a job
  • Start with zero money
  • Teens can only move out when they are have at least five skills maxed out and are happy (full needs and no negative moodlets).
  • I’m not quite sure if 10 children in one generation on normal lifespan without aging up early is possible.

An adult Sim can only get pregnant for 48 days and a normal kid needs 44 days to move out (from coneption to young adult) So I might allow aging up a toddler/child/teen early as long as they have maxed out all skills and are happy when aging up (full needs and no negative moodlets). Or allow them to move out as teens after a couple of days.

Mods I’m using:

  • T.O.O.L.s Mod from TwistedMexi
  • Better BuildBuy from TwistedMexi
